My Story
I didn’t start Herbal GenZ because I thought the wellness industry needed another brand. I started it because my body gave me a warning I couldn’t ignore.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I spending long hours home at a desk, eating whatever was convenient, and not thinking much about what was going into my body. The diagnosis was a wake-up call — not the kind that fades after a few weeks of eating salads, but the kind that rewires how you see everything.
I started researching. Not quick fixes or trending supplements, but the actual science and history of how plants interact with the human body. What began as trying to get my own health under control turned into over a year of deep study in herbalism and ethnobotany — learning how different cultures across the world have used plants as medicine for centuries, understanding which compounds do what, and why certain herbs work the way they do.
The more I learned, the more frustrated I became with what I saw on store shelves. Herbal teas with more "natural flavors" than actual herbs. Tinctures with vague ingredient lists and no transparency about who formulated them or why. Wellness brands built on aesthetics and marketing buzzwords instead of real knowledge. Products made by companies that couldn’t tell you the difference between an adaptogen and an expectorant — but had no problem charging premium prices and making big claims.
I decided I wanted to build something different. Something where every product is formulated with intention, by someone who actually understands the plants. Not someone who read a blog post about ashwagandha and decided to start a brand. Someone who studied it — who can explain why valerian root and passionflower work together for sleep, why elecampane and mullein complement each other for respiratory support, and why ginger isn’t just a flavor but a circulatory catalyst that makes other herbs more effective.
That’s what Herbal GenZ is.
